In 2009 Indiana released an RFP to select managed care organizations to provide risk-based managed care services to Medicaid beneficiaries enrolled in the State of Indiana’s Hoosier Healthwise and Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) programs. A client engaged us to project manage and write the proposal response and production. We coordinated outside consultant writers and the client internal team to assist in the preparation of an award winning proposal.
In 2009 Nebraska released an RFP for the re-procurement of Medicaid managed care health plans. Our client prepared a proposal and scored as number four out of four bidders. A protest by one of the bidders caused the State to withdraw this offer and reissue a new RFP for the re-procurement of the Medicaid managed care health plans. The client engaged us to manage the entire proposal preparation, response and production of the proposal. In the scoring assessment of the proposal we prepared the client proposal was rated as number one. As a result, the client retained the contract.
Fresno, Kings and Madera County in California is a two-plan model for Medi-Cal (Medicaid) Managed Care. In this model, one plan is a commercial health plan and the other is a Local Initiative that is managed by the county government. When the contract for the commercial health plan was up for renewal in Fresno County and managed care was expanded in Kings and Madera County, the state released a Request for Proposal (RFP). Virginia decided to convert their Acute and Long-Term Care program to Managed Care in the Tidewater area. They handled this conversion through a Request for Application (RFA). Our client was awarded as a winner through the application process and the State remarked that our application was the best they had ever seen.
